BOO at the ZOO
Last night, Kevin and I took Kyle (dressed as Tigger)and Max (Lion) with our friends Robbie, Kim and Michael (the dragon) Ball and Russell, Allison and Ella (the Lady Bug) Everhart to Boo and the Zoo! We had so much fun! The kids (techincally the Daddys) did some Trick or Treating, and rode on the slide and carousel. I have never seen 3 more proud Dads! I KNOW Kevin had just as much fun as Kyle did! As for the event, I never knew it was like a kiddie fair! I assumed you would walk around the zoo, see some animals and trick or treat with a couple of face painting, etc. Boy was I wrong. It was like a child's fair! They had rides and even an adult size Farris Wheel! We, of course, did not ride on it! It was very crowded and a little cool out, but we had the best time! I was worried the boys may get hot in their costumes and in the end, I was relieved that their costumes were warm! Anyway, I thought I would share some of our pictures with you all! Enjoy!

My 1st Birthday
God love him. It was the night before Kyle's first birthday and Kevin, Kyle, Mom, Dad, and I went to Purple Cow to celebrate. Kyle ate one of his favorite dishes, grilled cheese and french fries, and then opened his presents. We sang "Happy Birthday" and the sweet waitress thought she was doing a good deed by bringing Kyle a purple cow ice cream treat with a lit candle on top. OF COURSE, my one year old goes straight for the candle! Luckily, Kevin blew it out in time. Unfortunately, he did get some hot wax on his finger, so, it took him a minute before he would test out his desert. Poor baby! So, the moral of the story is.... No lit candles on a birthday cake until the child is old enough to understand HOT! :) Gosh, we are soooo first time parents!
